The Mandalorian Job - OOC

(First off, apologies if the admins want this thread in a different section.  I wasn't sure where to put it, but this seemed like a good place)

This is an out of character thread for the Mandalorian Job RP.  This RP was designed to be an opportunity for everyone's characters (OC or canon) to meet for the first time.  We'll start as soon as we have a few interested.

Bo-Katan
Red Skull

I'll update this section as more people join.

Basic plot: An Imperial ship carrying a stolen shipment of refined Mandalorian iron is on its way back to the Empire from the Outer Rim.  Luke Skirata, a Mandalorian warrior, doesn't want the Empire to be able to take control of it.  The iron is rare and valuable, and it will fetch a high price.  Luke has contacted several people he believes would be willing to strike at the Imperial forces guarding the shipment to steal it back, be it for the chance to damage the Empire or the considerable sum of credits they stand to gain...

If anyone has a suggestion for the plot or anything, I'd be happy to hear it.  All are welcome, so just post a character bio/link to an application and let me know that you're in!  Like I said, this is mostly a chance for us to get to know each other's characters and writing styles, so the more the merrier!

OK, I added you in to the first post.

Also, two things I forgot to mention:

1) for the purpose of this RP, I'm assuming all legends canon that hasn't been contradicted by new canon is still valid (that way we have more material to draw from).

2) my character will speak a lot of Mando'a, particularly cursing.  I'll try to make it clear from context or add a translation where needed, but just ask for clarification if you don't understand whatever he's saying.

Nice to have you Aaaray. Looks like I'll have to pick up some Mando'a. (At least I can put it towards the dream of eventually being able to do a good Sabine Wren.)

Looking at the site I think we'd need to figure out a region to work in? It seems to be divided up by areas. Anyone have any preferences on that?

I was planning on using the Outer Rim since that seems like the best place to ambush an Imperial ship, but if anyone has a different preference I'm open to suggestions.

Vader and Darjetti will not be there as, they only deal with important matters that will come into play down the road.

I'd like to join in. Skull isn't loyal to the empire but he could be hired to help look after their cargo

That seems like more people with the Empire than against it. Perhaps we might want to move Aaray and Niobe to the rebel side and leave Red Skull and Bo-Katan with the Empire for now?

Ah, my bad, the character bio still hadn't been uploaded last I checked so I hadn't noticed that.

I'll start up a game thread tomorrow since it looks like we have a decent number of participants. We can work out who is on which sides at that point.

We might still want a base setting, to get the gang together. Star Destroyer and Mandalore for the Imperials is pretty obvious. Maybe somewhere near the Mandalore sector for the rebel crew? Quick research suggests Gargon and Taris, but those might be totally wrong.

Also, and this might be a very stupid question, but who is in charge of the Empire? Because if possible it would probably be easier to leave it with canon and keep our glorious Emperor Sheev Palpatine on the throne. Otherwise stuff, especially if we get a full Ghost crew and they venture into Season Two, could get messy. And there is Aaray and Bo-Katan to play.

I have yet to do my version bio, but in the advertisement, it states that Vader killed Palpatine and took over the empire. Kinda like the2nd ending to the Ep3 game.
